Community Solutions & Crime Prevention
The Community Solutions & Crime Prevention Strategy, run over 5 years from 2001, aimed to provide an innovative multi agency response to social issues, particularly crime prevention, affecting targeted priority communities in NSW. The initiative covered regional and rural NSW as well as metropolitan areas. After 2006, the time limited projects that had been funded as part of the strategy either ended or were handed over to be sustained by local organisations. The National Pro Bono Resource Centre is an independent, non profit organisation that
aims to encourage and promote pro bono legal services. The Centre, which was
established in 2002, provides resources and information to assist lawyers and
law firms to provide high quality pro bono legal services to individuals and
communities most in need of assistance.
