  • Better Futures
    Better Futures is a prevention and early intervention program which aims to improve outcomes for young people aged 9 – 18 years. It is undertaken in the context of the NSW State Plan and the NSW Youth Action Plan priorities.

  • Gambling Hangover Campaign
    A new NSW Government responsible gambling campaign aimed at young men 18-24 has recently been launched, offering a range of new help and support options.

  • DoCS' Emerging Communities Education Strategy
    Tackling subjects such as parenting, child discipline and domestic violence, a new range of tailored resources will speak to people from emerging communities - beginning with an education strategy for African families living in NSW.

  • Housing Contact Centre – Help, Information and Advice!
    The NSW Department of Housing provides a myriad of services relating to housing. These fall under the domain of the Housing Contact Centre which provides assistance and advice to tenants, financial support to people facing repossession of their homes and help with accommodation for those experiencing a housing crisis.

  • NSW Summit on Alcohol Abuse 2003 – Outcomes and key Initiatives
    This report is the NSW Government’s response to the 318 recommendations made at the Summit on Alcohol Abuse held in the NSW Parliament in August 2003.
  • Premier’s Council on Active Living
  • Youth Partnership with Pacific Communities
    The NSW Government established the Communities Division to work with communities to assist them to be stronger, healthier and more vibrant. It addresses social issues by listening to and working with people and community groups.
  • Canterbury-Bankstown Place Project
    The NSW Government established the Strengthening Communities Unit to work with communities to assist them to be stronger, healthier and more vibrant. It addresses social issues by listening to and working with people and community groups.
  • Strengthening Local Communities Strategy
    The Strengthening Local Communities Strategy (SLCS) is one of the Government's commitments outlined in the Social Justice Budget Statement (2003/04) to develop community capacity and promote active participation.
  • Sustainability Project
    In 2002 at a Conference on Sustainability the Premier of NSW announced the establishment of a Senior Officer Group to “look at triple bottom line reporting”. The Senior Officer Group carried out a survey of 38 budget and off-budget agencies. The findings of the survey were summarised in a report prepared by a consultant, Ms Kendal Hodgman and provided to the Premier’s Department for its information.
  • Youth Partnership with Arabic Speaking Communities
    A Partnership between government and community to promote the well-being of young people of Arabic speaking backgrounds in NSW.

    In a recent paper written for the Organisation of Economic Co-operation and Development E-Government Project, communitybuilders.nsw is discussed as an outstanding international example of E-Public Work.

Network 2012
Network 2012 is a social enterprise with a social inclusion agenda. It was set up to facilitate and encourage the growth of social enterprise and to provide bursaries through membership fees for start up social enterprises. A large proportion of these bursaries will go towards start up social enterprises from traditionally disadvantaged groups within our society as a way of harnessing All of our creative and entrepreneurial talent.
