The Regional Institute LtdThe Regional Institute is an independent, not-for-profit publisher of research and educational information. It aims to make information on which to build individual and community knowledge and generate public debate on social, environmental and economic issues, freely available and accessible via the Internet.
Established in 1999, The Regional Institute has become one of the largest freely accessible sources of information about agriculture, natural resource management and community issues on the Internet. The Regional Institute also provides extensive knowledge management services to a growing network of academic and progressional associations. This includes the development of powerful user and content management systems built using shared open source technology. A key feature of the Institute’s approach is to build the capacity of people to self-publish and own content, while maximizing dissemination of the information to a wide audience. Resources include Conferences, Journals and Reports relevant to Rural and Regional areas. Services include website development (Open Web Publishing System) and conference publishing.
