Regional Women's Advisory CouncilThe Council's main responsibility is advising the Federal Government on issues affecting regional, rural and remote Australia, especially those that affect women living in these areas.
The Regional Women's Advisory Council draws on its extensive network of members to advise the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Transport and Regional Services, and through him, the Government, on issues affecting rural communities. This advice is from the perspective of regional women themselves, their families and communities and focuses upon community change processes, including the impact of government policies on regional communities.
