Affordable personal computers now available for people on low incomes

WorkVentures Connect IT has found a way to bring affordable computers to individuals who once believed they would never afford a personal computer.

If you hold a current Centrelink Benefits Card or Healthcare Card you are eligible to buy a refurbished computer for $299.00 from WorkVentures, a not for profit organization.

Companies like Westpac donate the hardware and Microsoft donates licensed software so that you can purchase a useful, high quality recycled computer at a price you can afford.

About the computers

Every WorkVentures Connect IT refurbished computer comes with a three month warranty and is capable of running Microsoft software and other mainstream applications, and browsing the Internet, just like many new PCs.

The offer includes:

  • Pentium II 300Mhz (min)
  • 128MB RAM
  • CD ROM
  • 4GB HDD (min)
  • Software – WIN98SE, AVG Antivirus, Open Office suite
  • 15” monitor
  • New keyboard and mouse
  • 56K internal modem
  • Internet access   - 15 hours free
  • 3 month warranty
  • Free training for new and inexperienced users at several Sydney locations

 

Cost and Delivery

Each computer costs $299.00 which includes GST and delivery within the Sydney Metropolitan area. 

An additional $15 applies to deliveries in NSW outside the Sydney Metropolitan area.
