Evaluating the Effectiveness of Nonprofit Web Sites

This article from TechSoup outlines six measures to evaluate the effectiveness of not-for-profit organisations’ websites.

As part of a case study of two US not-for-profit organisations’ websites, Megan Wilson devised six basic measures to evaluate their effectiveness in communicating with their target audiences.

These measures are:
  • users' ability to interact with the site
  • the site's educational value
  • the effectiveness of the site in relaying the organisation's mission
  • the layout and content level of interest
  • currency of content
  • site accessibility
