The peak body for Neighbourhood and Community Centres in NSW
LCSA specialises in supporting community workers and community organisations in:
- community management - working with committees and communities
- community development - keeping that long term focus, to prevent and reduce social problems rather than blame the victims of them.
LCSA aims to:
- actively maintain and promote locally managed, integrated community services
- advocate for and represent members' interests
- identify issues affecting members and develop strategies to deal with them
- link members and encourage mutual support and action
- support and resource members to meet the needs of their communities
- manage our organisation and resources effectively, efficiently and accountably.
