Toolkit: Selecting a Project

A British toolkit from Renewal.net that has been designed to assist organisations in selecting and appraising a deliverable community renewal project.

Partnerships face many difficulties in selecting projects that will deliver. The time, effort and complexity involved in project development and selection may be considerable and tensions may arise, because of the pressure from funders, and from the local community, to get something done.

This kit contains several tools - including project cycle management and project appraisal - which can help ensure that the selected project is the best option.

The Project Selection Toolkit has two main components:

• Appraising projects 
• Developing a project
