Stories from the Hood: Practising Place in the Illawarra
This action research project demonstrates the contributions place-based organisations make to the health and wellbeing of communities in the Illawarra.
This report confirms the significance of small place-based organisations for the individuals and communities they work with in the Illawarra region.
The report identifes a number of themes, highlights the experiences of individuals that use these services, and emphasises the capacity of place-based organisations to contribute to building stronger and more cohesive communities. The report concludes with a number of recommendations.
