community.gov.au is a portal that links to thousands of web sites providing information and services by all levels of government and the non-government sector.
This portal is one of a series of Commonwealth Government customer focused websites or 'portals'. The community.gov.au portal helps communities and community groups find relevant, up-to-date information including:
- Community development - building stronger communities, community networking, rural communities, leadership development, and community business partnerships.
- Community groups - provides information on grant applications, financial management, recruiting and managing volunteers, planning services and projects, fundraising etc
- Community information and services - parenting, health, finances, disability, education, relationships, housing and seniors information.
- Your local community - links to Australian regional web sites and State and Territory government entry points.
- Getting involved - information to help users get involved in their own communities.
- Internet tools and tips - a range of online tools and advice on getting the best out of the internet.
