Country Passenger Transport Infrastructure Grants Scheme 2008/09

Program summary

The NSW Ministry of Transport is inviting applications from country councils, transport operators and communities for funding for new and upgraded transport facilities such as interchanges, bus and taxi shelters, seating and improved lighting and signage.

The Country Passenger Transport Infrastructure Grants Scheme (CPTIGS) provides support funding to improve the amenity of passenger transport infrastructure in rural, regional and remote communities of NSW. The Ministry of Transport (MoT) administers the scheme.

Who can apply?

$1.48M in funding will be available to local government, transport operators and community groups under the 2008/09 program.

What will be funded?

Improvements to the amenity of passenger transport infrastructure in rural, regional and remote communities of NSW, including lighting, seating, shelters, signage and interchanges.

The guidelines set out important information to help you understand the aims of the scheme and how your community might benefit. Please read this material and carefully note the timetable, conditions, assessment criteria and reporting requirements. A set of tips to assist in preparing and improving an application is also provided on the website.

The Application Form can be completed on your computer then either saved and emailed or printed and mailed. The completed document should be saved as a word file (.doc extension) and emailed to cptigs@transport.nsw.gov.au (or posted to CPTIGS, Local and Community Transport Branch, Ministry of Transport, Locked Bag 5085, Parramatta NSW 2124, if necessary) before the closing date of Friday 27 June 2008.
