Program summary

The Daily Telegraph and Sunday Telegraph are proud to announce the Pride of Australia Medal in New South Wales and the ACT.

The medals will honour everyday Australians who do extraordinary things - the unsung heroes of our communities whose contribution to Australian life is not widely known by the general public.

Who can apply?

Anyone can nominate an unsung hero in their community

These people are not high-profile Australians. They are everyday Australians who do extraordinary things - the unsung heroes of our communities whose contribution to Australian life is not widely known by the general public.hey might be a friend, workmate, neighbour, your child's teacher, the local police officer or fire fighter or simply someone who has made your community a better place to live - you can even nominate yourself.

What will be funded?

Categories

A Pride of Australia Medal will be awarded in each of the following categories:

  • Courage
  • Young Aussie
  • Community Spirit
  • Role Model
  • Mateship
  • Environment
  • Fair Go
  • Peace
  • True Blue Lifetime
