Pro Bono Australia

Pro Bono Australia's aim is twofold: to facilitate and increase the level of Philanthropy in Australia and to give Not for Profit organisations the resources they need to run effectively.

Pro Bono Australia is Australia's unique portal for the Not for Profit sector. Our unique ability to facilitate the networking of the diverse Not for Profit sector rises out of the fact that over the past 13 years we have developed the largest database of Not for Profit organisations in Australia..

Site features

Directory of Not for Profit organisations

A listing of paying self-selected charitable organisationsseeking funding. Listings are linked to further information about organisations, such as contact details, and also hyperlinks to their own site if they have one. Donors coming to the site have the tools to select a charity by category of interest eg Cancer, Children and find out more about them, such as their mission statements, before donating or contacting them.

Costs are kept low ($100 for on-line and off-line listings) to allow smaller charities to list in the Directory. The off-line directory is sent to  over 56,000 individuals: every solicitor in Australia, Accountants, philanthropists and major companies to guide them or assist them in advising their clients about their philanthropic efforts.

e-Newsletter

A fortnightly free online bulletin containing items of interest for the sector is now read by over 17,500 in the sector.  The library of back issue articles is an ever-growing resource of information for and about the sector.

Jobs

A listing and search facility for Jobs in the sector. This wasAustralia's first niche job market site and the first and only in the Not for Profit sector. Find a job and advertise a job on the site. This facility has been slowly growing with the expanding awareness of Pro Bono Australia's website and will become the place to go when looking for a job in the sector. This is a useful site as those working in the Not for Profit sector usually stay employed within it.

The Resource Guide for Not for Profit organisations

A listing of service and product suppliers to the sector. These can be free, partially funded or fully paid products or services. The Guide is distributed free to all Not for Profit organisations on our database. Organisations listing in the Guide pay to be listed.

Products and Services

The site provides functionality to list a product or service or Search for a product or Service.

Events

A listing of events occurring in the sector.

Surveys in the sector
