This guide is an adaptation from A Planning Guide for Event Managers -Alcohol, Safety and Event Management whose first edition was produced by the Liquor Licensing Division of the Queensland Department of Tourism, Racing and Fair Trading in 1999.

In recognition of the value of this resource, and to avoid duplication, the Drug Programs Bureau of NSW Health has decided to adapt this resource as a component of the wide range of initiatives flowing from the NSW Youth Alcohol Action Plan 2001-2005.
