Free 1 day Forum for researchers, policy makers, government and non-government agencies hosted by the Social Policy Research Centre

The Social Policy Research Centre (SPRC), University of New South Wales, is hosting this one day forum on kinship care research and policy to exchange information on “what we know” and discuss the challenges of “where we’re heading”.

The Forum will be a valuable opportunity to build on practice and research networks, identify current and future research needs, and disseminate information about effective strategies and promising practice.

The forum is mainly for researchers, policy makers, government and non-government agencies interested in the provision of formal and informal kinship care services.

The Forum presentations will include:

• findings from recent research projects on kinship care;
• information on current policy and programs on statutory kinship care services operating in all states and territories, and
• information about Commonwealth initiatives in the area of grandparents and kinship carers and implications for policy and practice.

The Forum is sponsored by the SPRC and is free.
Participant numbers are limited so registration is required and will be confirmed by email.
