Drug Action Toolkit

The Drug Action Toolkit is designed to build the skills and knowledge of Community Drug Action Teams to help them work with their local communities. By developing skills and knowledge, the teams can sustain activities into the future.

Three editions of the Drug Action Toolkit have been produced to date and further issues will be produced in the near future. The Drug Action Toolkit is best used as a guide to assist Community Drug Action Teams (CDATs) in planning their work.

The Toolkit could be used to promote discussion on these topics at team meetings and planning days.

The three editions are:

  • 1. Project Management
  • 2. Consultation
  • 3. Participation

For further information contact your Regional Project Officer.

1. Project Management

Good project management is about using your time, money, people and resources in the most effective and efficient ways possible.

Learning how to plan and manage your projects properly and realistically means your CDAT can deliver better and more timely outcomes for your community.

This edition includes:

  • Benefits of project management for CDATs
  • Project management case studies
  • Project management steps
  • Resources
