Maitland Community Drug Action Team

Overview

The Maitland CDAT was established in 2000. The Team is not meeting regularly at this time but is looking to reform with the view to exploring new partnerships.

What we're doing

Consistent with the principles of the Community Drug Action Strategy, the Maitland CDAT is committed to working in partnership with agencies, community representatives and government, to:

Identify alcohol and other drug issues;
Educate the community about relevant issues; and
Implement appropriate collaborative projects.

The Maitland CDAT is exploring a partnership with the PCYC to support a program aimed at developing relationships with the local youth. The program will allow the PCYC officer and the CDAT to provide Bar B Q’s at youth venues to provide information and support.
