The Lightning Ridge Safe Families Community Drug Action Team was established in 2007 The Team meets monthly and as required

What we're doing

The Lightning Ridge Safe Families CDAT is auspiced by Yawarra Meamei Women’s Group and supported by the community, including the Community Facilitator through the Murdi Paaki Partnership Program

Lightning Ridge Safe Families CDAT is committed to working in collaboration and partnership to achieve positive outcomes for the people of Lightning Ridge and will focus on:

  • Whole of community approach to drug and alcohol issues
  • Targeting young people to promote resilience and leadership
