Parkes/Forbes Community Drug Action Team

Information and contact details about the Community Drug Action Team and links to projects and activities.

Overview

The Forbes Community Drug Action Team (CDAT) was established 2002 and amalgamated with the Parkes community in 2006.

What we're doing

The Parkes/Forbes CDAT is auspiced by Forbes Shire Council. It has five strategies which the CDAT has implemented in the community they include:

  • Acknowledgement and promotion of local youth support resources in the community
  • Encouraging responsible media coverage on drug issues in the community
  • Accurate Drug Information to youth in the community
  • Parent Awareness
  • Safe activities for young people

The CDAT aims to continue raising awareness, promoting accurate messages and providing safe activities for young people.
