OverviewThe Dubbo Community Drug Action Team (CDAT) was established in 2002. The team meet every six weeks on a Thursday from 2pm – 3.30pm at the Macquarie Regional Library. Dubbo CDAT is auspiced by Dubbo City Council. What we're doingThe Dubbo CDAT identifies and implements actions to address local problems. It also enables services to network regularly about drugs and alcohol issues. Some of the issues identified include:
Projects have been the production of a drug advice card and a poster providing service information for young people and families. The Team have also partnered with agencies in Dubbo to deliver a Drink Spiking project and an Drug And Alcohol Information Day in the West Dubbo housing estate. The CDAT also supports drug and alcohol free events for young people. The CDAT aims to continue addressing the identified issues and priorities in Dubbo.
