Overview

The Cessnock Community Drug Action Team (CDAT) was established in 2000.  The Team meets on the first Tuesday of the month from 9:00 am to 10:30 am at the Samaritans Information and Neighbourhood Centre.

What we're doing

Consistent with the principles of the Community Drug Action Strategy, the Cessnock CDAT is committed to working in partnership with agencies, community representatives and government, to:

• Identify alcohol and other drug issues;
• Educate the community about relevant issues; and         
• Implement appropriate collaborative projects.

The Cessnock CDAT is currently organising a “Movie in the Park”. The night is planned for October and will be held in Turner Park, Cessnock. The movie will have a drug related theme.
