drug info @ your library

Access to current and credible drug and alcohol information through a local library in your area.

The drug info @ your library project was launched in 2002 and forms part of the Community Drug Information Initiative. Through local public libraries around NSW, you and others in your local community can now easily get information about alcohol and drug-related issues as you need it.

The drug info @ your library project includes:

  • A core collection of resources developed by a panel of drug and alcohol experts and library staff. 

The collection includes books and pamphlets on alcohol and a range of drug-related issues, such as:

  • Information on alcohol and specific drugs.
  • Information on drug-related issues such as drugs in the workplace, government policy and public debate, and drugs in sport.
  • Tips on how to talk to your family about drugs.
  • Information to assist parents and families in dealing with drug issues.
  • Statistics and policy documents.
  • Information in community languages.

The drug info @ your library website is a portal to quality assured alcohol and drug information.

All 99 central public libraries across NSW hold the drug info @ your library core collection. In addition, all 380 libraries in NSW have access to the drug info @ your library internet gateway, pamphlets with drug-related information, and referral information to local services.

The drug info @ your library resources are regularly reviewed to ensure the information provided is up-to-date and responds to the changing needs of your community.

drug info @ your library is a partnership between the State Library of New South Wales and NSW Health’s Community Drug Strategies branch.
