Safe Party PacksGriffith and Leeton CDATs in conjunction with Griffith Police LAC and Griffith Lead On have produced a youth friendly information guide to conducting and attending parties.
The idea behind the Safe Party Packs was to help reduce the incidents of alcohol and drug abuse at end of year parties within the Griffith Police LAC. This includes centres such as West Wyalong, Narrandera, Coleambally and Hillston as well as Griffith and Leeton. The combined project was launched in Griffith on November 21 2006 with copies of the booklet being available at local police stations, centres frequented by young people and at local schools. The booklets give advice about drugs and alcohol as well as information on what to do should certain situations arise. There is also contact information that will be helpful to people both before, during and after parties. A form to register the parties with local police is included within the packs as well as a detailed list of police stations throughout the Griffith LAC. For further information
