SEVA is a non profit, non religious, non political NGO, committed to addressing the growing social welfare needs of the rapidly expanding Australian South Asian community in Sydney . This includes people with Indian, Pakistani, Sri Lankan, Bangla Deshi, Nepali, Maldivian and Bhutanese ancestral background.

SEVA is an entirely home grown Sydney based initiative by a representative core group of dedicated, committed individuals of South Asian background with diverse professional and personal expertise.

SEVA seeks to act as a facilitator and integrator to enhance the physical, mental, cultural and social well being of the Australian South Asian community with clearly defined “ SMART ” – Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Result oriented, Time bound) - goals.

SEVA sees itself as a liaison organization between its three main stake holders, the South Asian community, the business sector and the service providers and agencies at the Federal, State and Local government levels. Towards achieving its objectives, it aims to :-

• form strong networks with its three main stake holders through strategic alliances, partnerships and memoranda of understanding in order to promote events, programs and projects;
• create innovative, self sustaining and socially conscious ventures and projects in partnership with the business sector who are committed to the philosophy of social entrepreneurship – resulting in a socially aware and cohesive community living in harmony with each other;
• provide improved Access and Equity to information and services available through the federal, state and local service providers for the community's benefit.
