Beginning a Life in Australia bookletsBeginning a Life in Australia booklets are a useful resource aimed at newly arrived migrants and refugees to assist them with access to services in Australia
The booklets, available from the Department of Immigration and Citizenship website, contain essential information for migrants in their first few weeks after arrival, including how to apply for a tax file number, open a bank account, enrol children at school and get a driver's licence. They also provide advice about English tuition, housing, employment, income support and the health care system.
