Combined Pensioners and Superannuants Association of NSWCombined Pensioners & Superannuants Association of NSW Inc (CPSA) has a broad mission to improve the living standards, community services and lifestyle choices of pensioners of all ages, superannuants and low income retirees, as well as promoting their rights and dignity.
CPSA's branches are located throughout NSW.State office provides information, support, advice and advocacy as well as a range of specialised services:The Community Visitors Scheme (CVS): This free service is aimed at alleviating the loneliness of isolated residents in aged care facilities (nursing homes and hostels) by introducing them to visitors from the community. The Home and Community Care (HACC) Program: provides basic support services for frail older people, younger people with a disability and their carers. The Medicine Information and Peer Support (MIPS) Project: contributes to the Quality Use of Medicines and is a highly acclaimed program. Aspects of the MIPS model have been replicated in other parts of the country and in other projects. The Older Persons Tenants’ Service (OPTS): provides tenancy and housing advice to superannuants, pensioners and older people, conducts education sessions on tenants rights and obligations, housing choices and home safety and security. The Park and Village Service (PAVS): provides training, resources, advocacy and information on the rights and responsibilities of residential park and manufactured home estate residents.
