Good Practice in Consumer Education for Indigenous PeopleThis report, prepared for the Australian Securities and Investment Commission (ASIC), identifies Indigenous-specific consumer education and discusses good practice principles for Indigenous consumer education.
The Report was prepared by Gordon Renouf for ASIC (Sept. 2002) Its purpose is to provide information and ideas that may assist ASIC, other agencies and possibly Indigenous organisations and communities to undertake more effective consumer education. The Report defines Indigenous consumer education as any activities or strategies intended to support Indigenous consumers take control of their own consumer activities. Such education is part of an on-going strategy, not a product. The Report has three sections:
