Grow Sydney – helping communities grow their regions

GROW is a non-profit, community-based organisation which works with business, community and across the three sectors of government to take action that will help the growth of Sydney and its regions.

GROW works with local communities through a network of thirteen GROW Teams across Sydney, from Berowra to Bowral, Bondi to Blackheath.

Through consultation with the GROW Network throughout the regions of Sydney and extensive research into the drivers of Regional Development, GROW has identified where it can best add value and avoid duplication for the development of Sydney.

GROW can

• help you seek out funding for regional development projects, primarily through the Regional Partnerships Programme
• Provide advice and guidance on funding applications, particularly, under the Regional Partnerships Programme
• Link you up with other organisations who could provide partnership funding
• Connect you to other people who have similar regional development interests
• Keep you informed of current regional development thinking and projects

The Grow Plan has 4 priority areas:

1. GROW Industry and Enterprise Development to increase regional economic activity and creation of jobs.
2. GROW Workforce Development to facilitate the supply of labour to meet the current and future needs of Industry.
3. GROW Community Participation to create social participation for the economic benefit of disadvantaged and lower socio-economic groups.
4. GROW Regional Adaptability to foster partnerships and integrated planning to allow

These 4 areas reflect the policies and programmes instigated by the Australian Government in support of local regional development.
