Compacts Between Governments and the Voluntary Sector - Mark Lyons

Examples of treaties/accords between the third sector and the government in the United Kingdom and Canada

There has been some investigation of a compact between the government and the community sector in several Australian states and within at least one Federal Government department.

This paper briefly outlines developments in England and Canada and identifies several important common features in these developments. In conclusion a brief review of the prospect of a similar agreement emerging in Australia.
