A Carer’s Wish
Mother of three children, two with a disability, Vanita Connery is working with The Collective NSW and health and disability services providers to establish a centre in Northern Sydney for people with a disability who have high medical needs – a facility for people like her son Jordan. Brooklyn Cave Dwellers – Hornsby Shire
A research project by Macquarie University and Hornsby Shire to better understand the homeless people living in the caves at Brooklyn, north of Sydney, is underway. This work is aimed at ultimately transitioning these people to alternative, safe, stable homes. Read their story
