Small NGOs Moving Forward - forum proceedingsThe proceedings of a Community Forum, "Small Non Government Organisations Moving Forward - Common Goals, Models, Collaborative Partnerships and Action", which was held on November 7, 2002 at Nirimba College of TAFE.
The purpose of the Forum was to examine the values, issues and needs faced by small non-government organisations (SNGOs) and to suggest ways of moving forward. The Forum was held in partnership with Blacktown Alcohol and Drug Family Services (BADFS), Voice for SONG (a coalition of SNGOs) and students enrolled in the Research and Information Systems Modules in the Diploma of Community Services at the Nirimba College of TAFE. SNGOs in today's climate face a number of challenges including decreased funding, staffing issues, high stress levels and high staff turnover.
