The WorldVolunteerWeb.org supports the volunteer community by providing a global one-stop-shop for information, resources, and organizations linked to volunteerism.
Coordinated by the UN Volunteers Program, WorldVolunteerWeb.org is unique in that it offers a place where the global volunteering community can come together to share resources and coordinate activities on-line to make a real impact at all levels.
The website includes:
- News: features, viewpoints, volunteer stories, newsletter, awards, grants, training
- Events: special days and weeks, conferences, forums
- Initiatives: stories, opportunities, advocacy
- Development: capacity and social development, Millennium development goals, volunteering and ICT
- Policy: international, regional and national policy and legislation re volunteering
- Research: studies, toolkits, institutes, journals
