Employee Volunteering GuideProduced by the NSW Premier's Department, the Employee Volunteering Guide aims to be a practical resource for company and not-for-profit organisations interested in employee volunteering in the community.
In the past two decades, there has been a marked increase in volunteering opportunities through the workplace known as employee volunteering or employee community involvement. The key to successful employee volunteering is planning and negotiation among all parties. This Guide has been written and produced by the NSW Premier's Department Employee Volunteering Working Group which emerged from the International Year of Volunteers Forum on Employee Volunteering held in September 2001. The Guide was launched by The Hon. Carmel Tebbutt, NSW Minister for Community Services, in December 2002. The Employee Volunteering Guide is easy to read and includes sections on:
