Employee Volunteering Guide LaunchCarmel Tebbutt, then NSW Minister for Community Services, launched the Employee Volunteering Guide on 5 December 2002.
The Employee Volunteering Guide is a practical resource produced by the NSW Premier's Department, for companies and not-for-profit organisations who wish to support employee volunteering activities in the community. In her speech to launch the Employee Volunteering Guide, the former Minister drew attention to the crucial role that volunteering plays in our society. Without it, many activities would cease. The NSW Government has a long-standing commitment to volunteering through structures like the International Year of Volunteers Secretariat and the Families NSW early intervention program. This practical Guide recognises the growth in interest in volunteering through the workplace and the need for planning and negotiation among all parties for successful employee volunteering.
