Community Building Toolkits from Making Connections, DenverThe Block Party Toolkit and Story Circle Toolkit present positive and powerful ways for people to connect and to address issues facing their neighborhoods.
Block Party ToolkitThe purpose of this Block Party Tool Kit is to share the power and fun of block parties, enabling anyone to organize their own block party. Block parties have been recognized as a very positive and powerful way for people to connect on their blocks to build stronger, safer, and more cohesive communities. Story Circle ToolkitThe purpose of the Story Circle Tool Kit is help people interested in doing story circles to organize their own to address issues facing their neighborhoods and, ultimately, build a stronger community. These Toolkits are from Making Connections Denver - a ten year initiative of the Annie E. Casey Foundation and a partner of the Piton Foundation in Denver. The goal of the initiative is to improve the outcomes for families and children in tough or isolated neighborhoods.
