Community Workers Handbook – Strengthening Community Work

A collection of policy, strategies, methodology, curriculum, management and planning material useful for community empowerment or development programmes, written by Dr Phil Bartle, Phd.

The training material (over a hundred web pages which you may copy for free) is mainly for community workers in the field.

These three hand books are for community field workers involved in reducing poverty and strengthening low income communities.

While the material is provided free, it is requested that you identify where you obtained them, give feedback on how you have used the material, and engage in email dialogue about the principles and techniques used in them.

Handbook for Mobilizers

This is a "how-to" book, intended for community mobilizers and includes tips and resources for - Getting Prepared: knowing your goals, your target community, the skills you need, the basic concepts.

Handbook to Generate Wealth

This looks at private (individual or family) wealth, how the reduction of poverty can include small scale or micro enterprise, and how a community mobilizer can contribute to its development.

Handbook of Monitoring

Directed mainly at fieldworkers, providing guidance advice and tips for setting up a system of needed monitoring to remain abreast of the success of monitoring.
